    Default Aftermarket head unit

    Evening people!

If I were to fit a replacement head unit (one with ipod connector or dvd player etc)

Will it affect the screen above it at all? i.e The radio station names appear on the screen as does the bass/treble etc etc options? would it still appear on the screen from the new H/U?

THIS AUX in mod for the cdr 2005 works really well mate. It also doubles as a hands free phone kit with my Xperia.

Looks pretty straight forward lol! what cable will I need to run the ipod? will it work from just a male to male 3.5mm audio cable? obv from the port which will be on the dash, to the headphone socket on ipod?

I just went to maplin and told them what I wanted. I then just conected it to a proper VX Aux in port, but to can fit any femail audio socket, then as you said its a male to male. Or you could just run the cable direct from the solder points on the PCB and fit your own male socket to the end to plug directly into your ipod/iphone.
