Default Advice on the dreaded DMF replacement :(

    Hi guys

I have a '56 plate 1.9 CDTi Vectra Estate [150] (42,000 OTC) that developed the ominous DMF death-rattle about 2 months ago and has been getting progressively worse... time to get it sorted.

    My questions:
Can I get the DMF replaced with a standard flywheel so that it eliminates the possibility of DMF issues in the future?
Would it also makes sense to get the clutch replaced at the same time?
What is the best price you've been quoted/paid if you've been unlucky enough to need this work doing?
Does anyone have any other relevant info/advice on this subject?

Thanks for your time in reading/answering.

    Lee

    Vehicle : vauxhall vivaro

Not sure they do a solid flywheel conversion for the 1.9

Changing clutch and slave at the same time is a must.
Pretty much throwing money down drain if you don't.

Auto Vaux do 3 piece clutch kit for about 230
    And same price for flywheel.

If you paying someone else to do it. Try ringing a local clutch specialist as they usually get really good prices on parts. An will probably be able to do job quicker

There are solid flywheels available for the Saab 1.9CDTIs at £600+ but you would have to enquire as to the suitability for your engine.
