Car and spanner light!

Evening ladies and gents,

I have now had this light on for a week or two now and every time I put my fault code reader on it and turn it off , it comes straight back on the next day. It not causing no problems with the running of the car but it is starting to worry me as I have a big trip planned soon and don't want it going tits up on me then,


Any suggestions people ?

The light stays on permantly but my reader can't find a fault code!

Cdti 150, but I get no codes come up.... I only use it to turn it of, but I check before I turn it off just in case. I think my code reader is cack!

Try disconnecting your battery and leaving it for a couple of hours - make sure you have your radio code before doing it. I had a persistant 'check safeguard' light that continued to show when repair done and fault cleared - disconnected battery and cleared light - Certainly worth a try.

I had the same sort of problem with a fault code that my reader didnt pick up and it turned out to be a duff glow plug.

If you can,take then out 1 by 1 and get a multimeter on them and see if you have 1 or more non functioning plugs
