The v6 growls like. But i managed to get to heathrow and back with a slipping clutch and 3 other people in the car and it was still very bearable. Tick over is practically silent. Only when the throttle is fully open above 4000rpm is it difficult to think about anything other than "that"noise, but my god is it sexy!!
I hope you didn't do the same as me and not get your pipes flanged to replace the cat for the MOT. Rumour has it that next year if any car is missing any of the factory cats if will fail instantly even if below on the emissions. Putting my GSi in early for it's MOT so if it does happen I've got a year to sort it. On another note I fitted a Viper kit to mine and didn't sound any different in my opinion so went back to the panel filter.
