Thumbs up Eibach Lowering Springs Help !

    Hi All...
I have a 54 plate Vectra C ELITE PRE-FACELIFT, the springs are mighty Soft !

I want to keep the original shocks but change the springs to eibach. I want to keep my 17'' tyres for the time. I drive through a lot of bad country roads so need to keep the profile high on the tyres.

I want to know whether to go for the 30mm profile or 40mm profile and will I need to change the TRACKING RODS TO HEAVY DUTY OR HEAVY DUTY DROP LINKS?

FURTHER MORE SHOULD I WANT TO CHANGE THE SHOCKS WHICH BILSTIEN SHOULD I GO FOR AND, WHATS THE CHEAPEST PLACE?

    MANY THANKS

30mm should be enough, any more and the ride might be too harsh, especially for the road surfaces u drive on. you dont need to change any other components unless they have excessive play, noise etc.

the shocks should be ok with a 30mm drop but if u choose to upgrade then bilstein are a good choice, b4s are just oem quality made by bilstein, a performance upgrade would be b8s, these together with the eibach springs is known as a b12 kit and there have been some decent offers on them, rrp usually around £650

ive just changed my springs(apex) and kept original shocks, ive dropped mine 35mm and running 19" alloys with 235/35 tyres with no problems and suprisingly its not too harsh, and i live out in sticks with bad roads.

I agree with Jaspa, only slight difference was that my B12 kit from europerformance came with B6's which Bilstein recomended for the Eibach's.
