Default What have they done to my poor car?!

Ordered a pair of Falkens a couple of weeks ago from Blackcircles.com and had my local Formula One centre fit them. The tyres themselves seem great, sooooo much more grip in the corners than my old Michelins!

At the time they said that the old tyres showed signs of tracking being off, so I paid them to check and and adjust it. However, I'm now getting a repetetive and very annoying drone from my wheels at high speed (not really sure how else to describe it to be honest)

Anyone got any idea what's gone wrong? Have they re-tracked it wrongly (it was only done about a year ago, but they said it was badly out of alignment on both sides). Anything else cause an extremly annoying droning noise from the black rubber things?

Run your hand over the surface of the tyre and see if you can feel feathering(sharpish edges) on the tread. It may be too soon to feel this but if you can feel it it could show the tracking is out. I take it you never had this drone before the falkens were fitted or before the tracking was done, im assuming that as you only bought a pair you have older ones on the rear? Its unusual to have a drone from the front tbh.

new tyres take sometime to bed in, they also have a protective film on them this takes time to wear off and cause tyre road noise until they are bedded in

I noticed mine started to drone when I put on some Falkens on the front of my car but now realise that it was my fault for buying the "XL" variant

Something to do with stronger sidewalls (less give in them)

It is down more to tyre design of the tread blocks and grooves than anything a tyre fitter can do. I am always very concious of tyre noise when changing brand I noticed a big increase in "drone" when I fitted the P7's over the Goodyears, big increase in grip however

i had the dronning noise what a pain on the motorway
new tyres solved the problem at the rear and front
goodyear excellence i brought and im really happy with them no noise its fantastic its down to the tyres and how much tread is left on the tyre.
some people on here buy a new tyre and get the dronning back when it reaches around 2.5 tread left

i would change your front tyres to the back
you normally get the dronning from the rear
