    Default clio problems!!! what you think?

    The mrs was driving the clio and everytime stationary the engine is revving constantly at 5000 revs like the accelerator is stuck down! But when driving and in gear is normal. Anyway so she was trying to get it home and all of a sudden all the dash went dim and the car slowly cut out and it wouldnt even turn over! Left it one hour and it started again, drove it 1 mile and it repeated all the above again. Got it home and just plonked it on road and thats where it can stay! I thought it was gunna explode! Wat u rekon it is? It wiered i think. Its a s reg 1.2 grande

    Check the alternator mate
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info

    make sure the alt is ok also if its got a idle control valve take it off and clean it out

    Well mechanic mates been thats been a mechanic 15years, and tells me its not alternator, its more of an electronic problem, i carnt recall wat exactly fancy works he was using but basically its not a problem he can say, 'this is it, this is the price and this will sort it!' No no no, its goin to be a process of elimination starting by replacing x y z electronic parts, and throttle body i think. Which will be 100 pound upwards and none refundable once purchaused due to the nature of the part, but this still may not resolve the problem, it mite do but mite not. If not then have to keep replacing other possible parts until resolved! French cars for ya. So may end up costin loads before solved... so do i take the risk and hope its sorted in the first part replacement or will i be opening a can of worms of wasting money! Should i just scrap it and weigh the 6 month tax in? And call it a day? I only paid 325 for car 4 months ago! Advise please. P.s im not in a brill financle position as got 2 kids comin to xmas and the mrs is a housewife! So i carnt afford to pour money in a shed!
