Default anyone else got rid of there spacesaver???

Ive got a snowflake alloy now as my spare wheel to replace spacesaver but the carpet in the boot is now raised an inch, is there anyone else thats got a spare alloy rather than spacesaver done any modifying of the boot carpet to make it sit flush?? I.e, cut the foam under the boot lining? And did all vectras come with a space saver?? And im feeling its a mod that i cannot see so have wasted my dosh! Lol, although i wont be saying that if i get a puncture ill be gratefull the tiny spacesaver is gone!

I've got the same issue have 18" snowie as spare and about in raise to carpet.

Was thinking of getting foam sheet and cutting to size to fit under carpet to level out.

Does it bother u been slightly raised or does having a proper rim and a set of 5 compensate for that. Rather than a spacesaver that looks ridiculas if u need to use it.

No, looks like the previous owner of mine took the lifetime (although limited to second owner) AA option instead, as there is nothing in the boot of mine; no spare wheel, jack, etc
There is just a polystyrene insert
I can phone out the AA for as long as I own the car (don't know what the next owner will do), already used it once, and they will uplift the car and take to the nearest tyre fitter
