    Default door speakers

    I want to upgrade my door speakers as the vectra ones can't cope with the bass lol can anybody tell me what I would need looking at the fli ones as I have a fli sub do I need adapers or out to fit never fitted door speakers before

    You can fit any 6.5" components into all four doors, but you do need adaptors and you have to fit crossovers etc as well and the tweeter housings need modifications to make the tweeters fit.

    If you want the simple way of doing it, Pioneer do custom upgrade speakers specifically designed for the Vectra and they're a straight swap in, no adaptors needed. They're about £100 a pair, a few people on here use them.

    Crossovers split the sound so the lows go to the woofer and highs go to the tweeter.

    Adapters have never worked for me. Get some MDF rings off eBay. They're about £3 each.

    Too be honest, you probably won't notice much of an improvement with the fli components. The pioneers seem a safe shout though I've not heard them myself.
