Just wondering what your thoughts are to this.
Was in my local Vauxhall dealership today - as I don't have the service manual, I asked what the oil change interval was on the 1.9 CDTi 150, I was told it was 50,000 miles!
I was expecting maybe 20,000 tops, but this just seems crazy.
I religiously carry out oil changes every 6,000 miles anyway (using fully synthetic) and new filter, just for peace of mind.
It seems that my car may have had more changes since I purchased it in April than its seen 5 years before me!
My engine has done 175,000 miles now, but since I have owned it, I have noticed it gradually running better - definitely not placebo - then again, I have changed all the filters, done an engine flush (I know some people are against this on high mileage engines) - its got to last me another 40,000 miles at least!
