I use Halfords concentrate. Mix it yourself to 1part screenwash to 4 parts water. Last ages and does a good job at cleaning the windscreen.

Depends on what you want it to do and how much you typically use

During the summer use any non-ionic surfactant (washing up liquid)
During the winter you obviously don't want it to freeze, so look for iso-propanol based

    Thanks for your input guys,

I forgot to mention that I have AFL's so one pull on the wash wipe and BAM washer fluid flying everywhere, plus if someone is trying to attach themselves to my rear bumper I hit the washers again just to make them aware of how close they are, So I do use quite a bit of the stuff

You might want to look at the ingredients...
Methanol (or just a warning sign for flammable)
    Kiss your paintwork goodbye
    Iso-propanol
    No problem

    Try this :
    https://offers.bp.co.uk/Offers/MyCar/55
Buy the £3 car wash, get the 5L screen wash free, throw the car wash away

Not sure if they still do it - Halfrauds did an apple scented one that was the best - in fact that reminds me to have another look and see if they do it now.....
