    I had these problems.

Appeared two days in a row, in the same place at the same time while I went to work. This was on the first traffic light after one mile of driving. After that, one month was good and then the error appeared a few days i a row a couple times a day.
Regular service was a few days later, where we cleaned the EGR and the intake manifold along with the sensor on it. After this, error did not come back, and now I made more than 5,000 kilometers without any error.
I hope that the cause was just soot, otherwise it is probably due to a vacuum valve which drives the EGR or the clapper on the inlet manifold. If someone has a more specific answer, I'd be very happy to receive information.

I had a similar problem a few weeks back and read the same fault code.

I believe that the Barometric pressure sensor measures the external air pressure as some kind of reference value for the boost pressure to be based upon. Knowing this....

I removed the Barometric pressure sensor, cleaned the electrical contacts blew gently into the hole underneath to remove any loose debris (Scientific I know!). When fitted back it still gave the same fault.
It then dawned on me the fault may lie with the boost sensor on the inlet manifold. Just removed it, cleaned VERY GENTLY with a small artist brush and some WD40 (or Carb cleaner), refitted it and no fault since and LOTS more power!

I had this and the Sensor was at fault.

I replaced with a brand new one from Vauxhall for £40(ish).

its located behind the battery box to the left of the MAF. Its only held on with one torx bolt. Heres a pic:
