    Default Drop link not done!

Just had Vectra serviced and Mot'd at dealers on Monday, they said that the osf drop link was worn and could do with replacing and that they could do it straight away for an extra £38, so no worries, had it done.

Just checked the front wheels today as I am about to change the discs and calipers and Ive noticed that the drop link hasnt been changed!!!

Have called the vauxhall garage and Im waiting for the service dept to call me back but im far from happy about them advising that I have a part replaced, they charge me for it and then let me drive away having done nothing!!

I think i'd be going nuts. Technically it is fraud and is a criminal offence as they've obtained money by deception. Maybe a word with trading standards. Also, did you check the other side incase it's been a genuine mistake and they've fitted the wrong side?

Sounds like a typical garage to me, name and shame?

have checked both sides, the passenger side suspension was all replaced about a month ago after the car was stolen, even so you can see that neither side is only two days old!
The garage has just called back and they want me to take it in today so they can have a look at it! :-(
They have normally been a good garage so Ill see what happens this afternoon before I name and shame, just in case by some miracle I have got it wrong! :-)

Why not get a refund and do it yourself. That way there's no need to be wondering whether it's really been changed or not.

    That's bad...!

I'd be tempted to go with Rebellion on this...BUT, it's principle. They said something, but did another, being fraudulent and deceptive in the process...Not good.
