Default I am fed up with my vectra ... help

Ok long story but here goes; I am looking to buy a house in the near future & have had my vectra cdti (150) for about 18 months. In that time I have had to fork out for DMF, Front arb/droplinks, new springs, egr valve, aux belt, also my insurance shot upto £900 a year!

I loved the car until recently, I now have a rattle o/s rear over potholes and the back is swaying at the rear, best way to describe it is wallowing.

I need to get some cash & am considering trying to sell, although this car owes me about £5000 & is not going to be worth much at all. It's a 2004 sri cdti, 120k, fsh, dual exhausts, dtuk tuning box, usual refinements. I would hazard a guess at £2000 - £2500 without the problem at the rear (Whatever it is)

So what do I do?? If only I could just get a really cheap runaround i.e. 306 hdi for about £500 and sell this but it's not going to happen.

Sorry to rant I just need opinions please

Vehicle : Mk1 renault scenic... I know I know but it drives

    Trim : Basic

    Engine : 1.6 16v

    Year : 2003

    Default

    Wallowing will be rear shocks.

And might find that bottom coil on rear spring has snapped causing your rattling.

Ano it's a pain in back side. But honestly worth sticking with it. Having a cheap banger could be more hassle than its worth. An defiantly won't get much for car. The market is very bad ATM

I read so many bad reports on cdti's!!! So glad mines petrol, even if it does get less mpg! And m8 when ur driving round in a £300 scrap heap you will regret selling ur car! Go and drive a 300 pound car out of auto trader and you will soon re think! Ive thought like this before and the grass is never greener! Then agen u carnt keep pouring money into it, so just put up with an odd knock and save ya brass! Lol, just get essential work done or find a m8 in garage trade that will do filthy cheap work for you

no offence mate but you probably paid over the odds for your motor in the first place if it owes you 5k & is an 04plate, how long have you had it? if you can't afford to trade in for something newer then your better off just having the work done on your current motor... better the devil you know, the rear wollow & rattle will prob be arb's or upper arms or even shocks, which doesn't cost too much... as said you would hate driving a £500 banger!
