    Default intake leak

cdti 150,ive noticed fresh oil on the inlet hose where it joins onto turbo could a slight air leak (un metered air entering) cause a blip in boost on acceleration that im getting ,when i change from 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th it starts to accelerate an for a fraction of a second looses boost/power then starts to accelerate again as if its overboosting fuel cut ,ive checked everything i can think of an this fresh oil i can see is the only thing thats not right

Is it the pipe that goes from the turbo to the throttle body..the big black one?

no its the hose that comes from air box to turbo ,the oil is leaking where it joins the turbo intake housing thats whats making me think if oil can leak then air can get sucked in

Vehicle : Mk1 renault scenic... I know I know but it drives

Is it actually leaking oil. Or just got a small amount of say most build up in the pipe.

A small amount would be except able due to positive crank case ventilation

Path of airflow is as follows, front of bumper grill to airbox, from airbox to intercooler, then finally from intercooler to turbo and then to throttle body. A small amount of oil, enough to see it on your finger is normal, but big puddles of it isnt.

damnit confused myself now, is it intercooler then turbo or turbo then intercooler?

it prob is oil mist build up but the small oil leak on the hose isnt really the issue ,im just wondering if there is enough gap on the hose joint to let out a bit of oil then air can get back in maybe , my issue is the brief cut in power on acceleration and could a slight air intake leak cause it

It's normally Airbox, Turbo, intercooler then inlet. If you have a little oil there then you will need to replace the pipe, VX charge an arm and a leg for these pipes, I wonder why?
In the mean time, get a pipe repair kit from Halfrauds (about £5), it'll keep the boost pressure in the pipe until you get that replaced.

Inter cooler after turbo as is meant cool air after it has been forced through compressor

path of airflow starts at flexi hose hidden up behind wheel arch lining ,to airbox,to turbo,to intercooler ,to throttle body, then prob leak out of the sh**ty swirl flaps that are probably broke cause they are a crapo design
