    Default new dash!!

Hello all, been a while since i've posted anything and now its a question regarding crash damage! Typical eh!? I ran into the back of a mondeo on a roundabout today which not only smashed the front end in but set the airbags off in my face! So i obviously need a new dash fitted, along with steering wheel, or atleast the airbag unit. I was just wondering on the work involved for the repairing garage to replace the dash! seems like a massive job to me! I certainly wouldn't want to do it!!! Anyone had it done before?

Err, it's not quite that simple to replace airbags, I cant say how to exactly right now, but if you just hook one in I think it might deploy on you, samething with seat belts, all linked up to mini explosives and if not done correct you risk them going off again.

    Default new dash and airbags

I have recently completed fitting a dash and airbags in a CDTI vectra, Easy! vauxbits.com supplyed everything i needed. Remember to get inpact sensors for the frontend. Get the numbers off the the old ones they must match. you also need to make a note of the colour of the plugs into the airbags. Next you need an airbag control module which is located under the handbrake. once you have completed the job you will need to get the airbag module reprogramed.(sadly dealer only). Dash and air bag kit £650.
It was my first attempt and i completed it in a day.
