    Default Dimming dash light question?

Does anyone know how the dimming of the dials work? Is it simply when you turn the light down it reduces the voltage, or is it done via something else? The reason I ask is I'm going to move my boost gauge from its current position, and also I'm wondering if I take the live wire from the dimming dial I could get the gauge to dim along with the lights..

    Cheers..

just pick up the grey/yellow wire near where you are fitting it, then it will dim/light up along with the rest of the dash lights

The light is dimmed using pulse width modulation (PWM). PWM cuts the power to the dashboard LEDs for a short while, about 30 times per second. The time the power is cut increases as you turn the light down.

any led or other light connected to a grey/yellow lead will be dimmed this way .
