Went to Vauxhall Factory as it something Ive always wanted to do and since I hit the big Three O, I travelled all the way down to see the Astra being built.
If im honest, I was disappointed, all the other folks there were not fans!
On guy asked why he had seen Opel badges on Vauxhall cars in Britain!?
The rest sat there in silence or talked about other things, so i felt daft asking about things like;
Why did the Quicksilver Astra GtE not get kept in the main reception since it commomorated the anniversay of the plant. Rather than being sold off. There was only one ever built and painted by BASF so thought it odd they wouldnt have kept it.
To which i was met with by a blank stare
A guy argued (a bit strong, so lets say bickered) about the fact our Cavalier MK3 was called the Vectra in Opel guise, I said "YES IT WAS, he said "NO IT WASNT"......
I basically thought, pfffft. Im a hardcore fan who just wants to get naked with other fans and splash some jelly about in an inflatable pool whilst discussing the tone differences in Star silver I, II, and III.
So I believe that by going to "MECCA", not the bingo hall but the holy grail of my passion, I can induldgein this facination........ ehhhhh no.
So I return feeling a little Metro Blue
Anyway, next thing, after my place of work announce that things are getting a bit tight - One of the Directors runs away! Honest to god.
Just dissapears with the hire car, mobile phone, laptop credit card and fuel card.....
On top of having to try ad rebuild the mess he has left behind with the Director, i then get told we are having to pay off everyone else?!
So I have completely lost my little sales team - all 4 of them + a technician
Then, just the day after I start calling our clients to find out the Director thats run off is trying to poach our catalogue of clients!!!!!
Add to this the fact that my other half has started making comments like
"im not sure ive made the right choices in life and i feel maybe i need to re evaluate some areas!" - (f*cking Boy George at his best) or - Have you ever wondered how life would have been if we never met?WTF
I have a sneaky feeling almost nothing in my life is of any certainty at the minute, ****** fed up and need some cheering up
plus there is an echo in the office now so I spend most of my day pretending to interview, Jeremy Kyle style, random office objects like the fax copier, or the flip chart board....... "Your not gona get any chance of seeing your kids unless you fax the number on the screen! Why should we have to support you, you have to work to get respect".....................
Growing fat and depressed (and a little concerned for my mental state) ....... pass a cupcake...........
