Hesetation in 2nd gear.

Hi all seem to not get a lot of power in second gear, every other gear is fine, don't think the clutch is slipping as i can boot it in 3rd and it boasts away right up to 70, tried testing clutch by driving at 20 mph and then putting it into 5th the car slowly accelerated and doesn't just rev, any ideas what's wrong

Not sure about the 1.9 but the 3.0 is limited to the amount of power/torque it can put out in lower gears, this is to protect the gearbox, clutch/flywheel.

I've got the 120 cdti and that has a flat spot for a split second when I change from 1st into second - all other gears are fine and it doesn't bother me too much

it's not an exhaust issue is it, front flexi blowing?

might be affecting the boost at lower revs

will check out flexi pipe, ta mate, just started happening so not an issue with power being reduced in lower gears, thanks for the info.
