    Default Dilema....What to do?

I'm looking at changing my 2.0T signum. I would like another Signum, my dilema is that should i get a 2.8T Manual or a 3.0 derv. My heart says 2.8T, my head says 3.0 CDTI

I dont want to end up having a 2.8 and like so many other people end up selling due to the running costs. My daily commute is a 36ish miles round trip. It costs me approx £45 in petrol a week that includes whatever driving around town in the week i need to do.

I'm curious to how much it would cost extra in a 2.8T.

Do either engine have a DMF? Are there any known issues with either engine?

    Any help would be appriecated.

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

Love my 2.8 great engine smooth and massive power but a 36mile a day commute might get pricey in a 2.8. Both have dmf but don't suffer with them. The 3.0 have scv problems.

    I get 320miles to a £70 tank a 3.0 would get about 100 more

Normal mate, with a bit of a blast now and then

As long as you don't trash it all the time, you'll easily get 300+ to a tank mixed driving and town and motorway

I'm only seeing a very marginal difference in the mpg between the 2.0 and the 2.8 ... The 2.8's not working as hard so on a run is very similar

Suction Control Valve on the fuel pump.

Having only had my Siggy 3.0 V6 CDTi for 3 weeks, I'm less than impressed with the engine, especially the hesitation/misfire I've got. Seems a very common problem .

As many of us have found, there's not a lot of info on the 3.0 and by all accounts, VX don't know much either.

If I was in the position of the OP, 2.8T all the way .
