Default 314 setup and 345 discs?

at the risk of sounding stupid, what is the difference in the brake setups between the 314 and 345, I understand that the discs are bigger so is it just a bigger carrier and the same calipers??

Yes mate the carriers are slightly bigger as obviously are the discs, I think the pads are the same, however there seem to be 2 sets of 314 calipers one that is used on the 345 setup and one that is not, a member on here explained that the calipers for the 345mm setup have a slightly cut away or flared leading and trailing edge.

Thats what I was told buddy, I have the 314mm setup. I asked a vx mechanic and he said I would need the 345mm carriers to fit the 345mm discs. Its the same caliper and pads used on the 345's as the 314s.

It is something I plan on doing next year once winter is over and get bigger alloys. But I do believe it is possable to get 17" alloys over the 345mm setup, im sure someone on here did it.....
