Help with centre display smd's

Hi all my friend started to change the smd's on my centre display to blue. Now the bad bit he hasnt finished the job and said he doesnt have the time to finish it now. Can anyone put right what he has done??? the smd's he has put on dont even work i dont want to try myself i dont have patience to solder. If i have to buy a new display do i have to get it coded in im using an aftermarket headunit.
