Ha ha very good
Just asking the question as I do Wing Chun Kung fu
I used to do Karate when I was a teenager (so a long time ago)
Kin Hitsuji Ryu (The way of the Ram). This was a very classical Kata style of karate. Great for spiritual awareness and old skool stuff. Was great but not that good in a fight. Stances were to long etc, easily telegraph moves etc.
So I then joined a Shotokan Karate club for a while and that got me involved with interclub competitions and semi-contact fighting. This was better, but rarely full contact (lol yeah right )
Was a member of BASKA (British All Styles Karate Association) and did national meets and stuff. Was great.
I had an unusual party trick as I was a very accurate high left kicker, but right handed puncher (Still got the punch but would be lucky to get waist height with my kicks now at my age )
Then I got involved with Girls and all my training went out the window
I liked it for the discipline and fitness it gives you.
