Default HID's - Police Taking Action

I cant remember seeing anything recently about this being posted, so aplogies if it has.

It would appear that the first steps to clamp down on aftermarket HID's is starting to take effect.

We've been told it's coming enough times, looks like it's finally an issue.

First time i've heard of this actually happening. Im not sure about another member theres comment about "Put them behind reflectors" though, thats probably how the OP was stopped in the first place, its like being in front of someone with their high beam on when they are fitted to bloomin reflector headlights!!!! Elliptical headlight and washers heads on the bumper and I doubt any copper would look twice.

    Hi.
You can bet your life that Vx & competitors only put self leveling zenons in because they had to (.......memories of my old '51 Vectra 2.2 CDX )
no reason to go to that expense if they could avoid it.

It's a safety issue, which is why I've never fitted them

think i'm going to have to get in find the parts to do the headlight washers, nothing i can do about levelers though, dont fancy going back to those awful standard bulbs anytime soon, dont fancy paying vx the privalidge to of paying vx to activate them though, may just run the power from the other one via a relay

About time too, it's bad enough with factory fitted kit working as it should.
Some aftermarket lights are way too bright imo ......................................

I see a how2 on fitting washers to a pre-facelift but can the pop out headlight washer be retro fitted?

Yes, its pretty much the same as the preface one except the washer jet units are quite a bit bigger and different, and theres a bigger hole to cut out on the bumper.
