    y30dt engine layout


    1- Brake fluid
    2- Coolant expansion bottle
    3- Fuel filter housing
    4- Cam position sensor
    5- Egr valve( tucked under the ecu mounted on bracket)
    6- Injectors
    7- Throttle body
    8- Turbo actuator
    will label more parts as i go through each picture to allow people to be able to see parts easier

    after removing various electrical connections and vacuum pipes you can remove the upper manifold and reveal this



    1- Slightly better view of egr vlave
    2- MAP sensor (manifold pressure sensor)
    3- Common rail
    4- Pressure refielf valve for common rail
    5- High pressure fuel lines
    6- Tucked away down in the gap is glow plugs

    cambelt layout for anybody thinking of tacking this job.

    very very easy cambelt, first one ive done on my own. no special tools are required.
    i would say as a job on its own about 2 hours start to finish if you where taking your time.

    Hey mate, can you check the numbers on injector plugs? 2 and 4 have 13 written on them...what about the other 4 jets?

    1- just showing the location of the fuel injection pump, obvisously their would be that front head in the way but just gives an idea how deep down it is, thats why such a big job to do the dreaded SCV's which i wish i need about whilst having the car stripped so much, so im just hoping they dont go lol

    2- is the coolant temperature sensor.
    you can just about see it when everything is in the way just behind the inlet pipe to the turbo

    sorry mate not with it, atm go mrs going mad about decorating and my mate on the phone asking baout his headgasket heads up me bumlol

    do you mean the number actually stamped into the injectors themselves?

    once everything is in the way and built up, you cant really see it, you can just about see it from underneith, changing that wont be so easy i cant imagin

    one showing what looks like with rocker cover removed.
    this is the view for checkoing valve clearances. proably looking at around 30-45 mins of undoing things to get hear from opening the bonnet.
    the inlet cam is the one towards centre

    just been out and hipped plastic cover off to check mate, and yeah all have 13 on them aswel as the letter H hope that helps
