Daytime running lights query

I've just purchased some Daytime running lights & wired them to my sidelight circuit, however they flash when turned off which i'm told it's something to to do with the "Canbus".
I've since heard that they should be wired to a circuit that is live when the ignition is on, the question is, would this stop the flashing? & if it works where is the best place to wire them to?

Yes the Canbus system don't like LEDs one bit, hence the flashing, due to the bulb check system. Go to the fusebox and test some of the empty slots and you will find one that is switched live when the ignition is on, someone found one in the past.

What LED's did you get and where from?

i fitted DRL's on my car, they are wired to the live feed on the alternator, this means that they come on whenever the car is started and they go off when the engine is off. they are also earther to the back of the fog lights.

Not sure what make they are, got them off ebay only paid a £10 delivered.
