    You know when you just know what they are going to do !!!! I droped my vec off just before at the garage to get the thermostat changed as it just doesn't work I pointed this out when I first got the car the same day (came with a 30 day thing) And when I walked in the boss was there talking to the mechanic I said who I was Ect and where I'm parked he said straight away have I got the warranty book I said erm hold on I reported this when I first got it you know when you just know there not going to play ball it's the 2nd time it's been in first time they changed something on the thermometer ....... Anyway will see

    Well just as I thought just got off the from the garage they say they have had the car runnin on idle for 20mins the needle goes half way but as soon as they drive it the needle moves right down to the bottom he said the engine is getting to cold and making he needle go down he said it's nothing to worry about it wld be diff if it was the otherway round he said he has orderd another part he says there is 2 sensers he said they only replaced one ...... I said right and if they are not going to work he said anew thermostat which are expensive and be banged on about warranties I said hang on I reported his when I first got the car go the feeling if I is the whole thermostat hey won't repalace

    Defo your thermostat mate. To many people on this forum have had the same excact problem of the needle dropping down.

    New thermostat will cure the problem.

    That's what thought but I know for a fact they won't change it as it's expensive it's annoying tho when you pay £6500 for a car ud expect it to be all ok they'll say something to get out ov replacing it

    Defo thermostat - they are playing you about.
    I got my thermostat (genuine) for about £30 and took an hour to fit! So for the sake of a few pennies to the dealership they are out of order - especially if you reported it when you purchased it!

    Im taking its a 1.9 - if so they should sit and stay at 85c regardless of driving or not.

    Hi mate it's a1.8 Sri £30 that's good I thought new thermosts where around £100 Mark I probs know I'll have to bite the bullet and just take it to another garage

    Defo thermostat - they are playing you about.

    Check out the how to's, it's a very easy job, and a thermostat (not including the housing) will cost about £10 from a motor factors.

    Have you got proof you reported it at the time of purchase? If you have, tell them that either they can do it as promised or you'll report them to trading standards

    Unfortuanatly no you know how it is the sales man was so nice until he got my money
