Who owns a V6 CDTi (Y or Z30DT)??

Trying to get my 2006 z30td back on the road after a year of SORN due to clutch & DMF failure....MOT failure due to front drop link & EML on!!!! p1110 swirl flap stuck open on bank 1 fault...drives great, pulling my hair out trying to find a replacement actuator & prove the old one is faulty. Anyone know where I can pick up one or circuit diagrams of this engine configuration????

Swirl flap is vacuum actuated with sensor position feedback. Have you tried operating it with a vacuum source such as a "mity-vac"? You could just have a seized rod, or maybe something simple like a bad electrical connection on the multi plug.

Good luck with it, I do love this engine when it's working.

Given that there's very little info out there on these engines, I thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of members who own such lumps.

I'm sure we've all got a bit of knowledge through personal experience but together we might be able to help each other out a lot easier, either on the general forum, by PM or even a visit if some members are local to each other (from profile details).

I've also put a plea into Admin for a Y & Z30DT specific sub forum as many posts just get lost in the forum abyss.
