    Default 9th/centre dash speaker wiring

I have bought some additional tweeters and Want to wire them where the centre speaker would go. But my car didn't have this as standard and I cant see the plug, is there anywhere where it would be tucked away?

Personally I wouldnt want to put any tweeters in there, maybe a 3" midrange unit crossed over properly... I reckon if you put tweeters in there the stereo imaging will suffer badly due to the way that HF sound reflects very easily off glass surfaces......

the only reason why i want tweeters is i have a lack of hf sounds as system and speakers are very bassy, and i only currently have 2 tweeters

Wats the rest of your system like? are you running some decent amped front comps? if you have the tweeters then try it, but I dont think it will sound very good as you will lose stereo seperation and suffer reflections...

I guess it all depends on what else you are running an what your goal is, are you just after loud or decent sound quality with stereo imaging?

At the moment I'm running 2 x 1000w jbl amps (but one is going soon) and then these are running a enclose sub but this is more or less in cabin as I have took the catflap out of the centre seat and made a speaker grille. The 2nd is running 4 alpine component speakers in door Cards but these are going to be replaced with jbls once I have the cash, and I'm about to change all tweeters

To be honest all 1 want is a crystal sound system, I only have Bose systems at home, so I'm used to the best quality sound.

If you're after crystal clear sound and want the best quality... then you need to move away from buying JBL... they are good budget stuff, but for someone that wants the best and runs nothing but Bose at home you are looking at the wrong stuff.....

From the sounds of it you're looking at an SQ system rather than SPL

Forget about running rear speakers, spend all your cash on a superior set of front Components. Look at Focal (can be very bright and tiring to listen to though), Hertz (I have HSK165's in mine), DLS, Rainbow, Audison or CDT....

Amp wise the JBL's will give you volume but will lose a lot of SQ, I'd look around at buying a second hand amp to save some cash if you can get one then the Genesis 4 channel amps are great. run the comps of the front 2 channels and bridge the rear channels for a sub....

Also head on over to Talk Audio for quality audio advice, the guys over there are great and will give good advice as long as you give enough info such as budget what you currently have and what you're looking at achieving.

Be warned though... that site is a slippery slope to bankruptcy.....
