You just need to do the TID to GID upgrade. Theres a how2 for this and is pretty easy.

You may need to add the 2 extra wires to the OBD Plug under the ashtray, Im sorry I do not know what the 2 extra wires do, but Im sure I read that someone actually found they didnt have to add these wires to get it all to work. You also need a Tech2 or opcom session to active it. If you add the screen without the wiper stalk and activation all you will get is the Range left in the tank.

Wiper lever has the BC(board Computer) function control, allowing you to scroll through the menu and reset and accept things like bulb warning functions. Ray im sure someone has the full GID items required in the for sale section too.

Without the two extra wires, you can't program the GID

I have been worndering about this. I didn't fit the two wires when I put my gid in yet it works fine with no issues. It's all controlled off the wiper stalk. What do you need to program to the GID that makes these wires nessesary?

What I would say is swapping it (even though I had help) was dead easy... Swapping some wires in a plug, installing a stalk, op-com/tech2 to activate the stalk and a bit of faffing to get the wipper bottle working (which I ended up splicing and bypassuing as the connector was nackered).

    Im half can bus also...

    Pics of mine in place...

The how to guide in the "guide" section is dead easy to follow... Just make sure you source the right parts and take it from there.
