Default CD70 Bluetooth/Phone Flashing "Phone Safe"

Hi Guys I apologise in advance if this one has already been covered, I'vetrawlled up and down but can't find the same issue in any of the previous posts, I have a 2006 Signum with the CD70 unit with colour screen, which is fitted with Bluetooth, and a cradle behind the gear lever, next to the hand brake, all other parts of the CD70 seem to work OK Radio/NAV/Onboard Computer etc and I've updated the system firmware to the latest 10/10/2007 but when ever I go into the telephone to try and pair via Bluetooth I'm instantly presented with a box that pops up flashing "Phone Safe" and if I search I'm neither able to view any Bluetooth phones or if I assign a password and make the CD70 visible to other devices for 3 minutes I'm still not able to see the CD70 from other devices... I'm getting the impression from reading other articles in the forum about these head units the "Phone Safe" means the Bluetooth is in some way disabled, possibly requiring a code of some sort, but it seems odd that the rest of the unit would be functioning as normal, hoping one of the guys in here can point me in the right direction...

    thanks

Havent a clue so sorry. I do know that display safe means the radio and display needs to be paired together. Only when you take a unit from one car to another so could be the same with your Bluetooth if has being retro fitted. There may be someone here who can point you in the direction on where you can send the unit to be rest if that's what needs to be done.

sounds like the radio/display needs to be unpaired and then repaired but this time including the bluetooth unit....

If this a new car to you and has been working ok or just went wrong?
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services

thanks guys I've just purchased the car, it's a very low mileage 2006 and for 4 months the car was sitting untaxed, I'm thinking the battery may have run flat at some point, it's just a theory, or of course it may have been disconected..

is the unpairing, re-pairing something that an end user could do or is "Tech2" required for this

thanks for all your help guys, this Tinterweb is a great thing, I think it will catch on

Tech2 or other similar sorftware will be needed. You will also need the Car Pass with the security code to do this too.

the problem youve got is that the bluetooth uhp module requires
programming and codes clearing with the cars security code.

If you press the inner top button on the left hand side of the steering wheel, do you get an English or German voice?
If you get German then you will need Tech2, other than that you can do the UHP with OpCom or similar.
