Default car feels like wheels 'wandering'

I have owned my Sri with Xp kit now for about 18months. I noticed straight away that it had a tendancy to wander over uneven surfaces and was told it was because of the wide 19" low-profile tyres. It's slowly got worse to the point you are constantly having to correct the steering whether it be over slightly uneven roads or when breaking hard, and when pushing hard in the twisties alternates from over to under-steering. It passed the mot in July with no problems so what should i be looking for? Obvious one is the trackrod ends but is there anything else to check?

As above mate. It's best to get Alignment checked every year.

i had that on my preface and it was the tracking.
i would be driving along in a straight line, and it felt as if one wheel all of a sudden would find a trench in the road to follow rather than the way the car wanted to go, always happened without expecting it and i had to suddenly correct it. had the tracking sorted, and its never happened since

I have 19s and get this too... I do get the 4 wheel laser alignment done atleast yearly, and my struts are pretty much all new as replaced everything myself! Its down the alloys mate, every car I have had with low profiles has tended to get pulled with camber and ruts in the road.

Get that 4 wheel alignment done too I always get it done by someone with the laser machines as its super accurate!

On my third set of tyres on the front and second set on back and they wear pretty even. Guy in tyre place said its down to the tyre width but beemers etc have wide tyres fitted as standard and i bet they don't drive ****. Tending to wander now on nearly dead smooth roads, think i need to get it laser alligned then.
How do you check the wishbones?

It also wanders badly when going over white lines. Pressures are as handbook- 39psi front, 36 psi rear for the 1.9cdti
