How did you get on with this?
I've been meaning to do it for ages.

Did you replace the filler/drain plugs?

yes you have to take the belly plate off to access it

and when you do it make sure you change the drain plug as the new one has a different type of sealing washer on it

dont need to change the fill plug but good luck getting them undone

oh and make sure you can remove the fill plug BEFORE undoing the drain plug !!!!!!

changed my gearbox oil at the weekend, had to use a chisel to get the drain plug loosened off, you can fill it up without removing the battery box, all you need is a length of garden hose with some 15mm copper pipe in the end to fit in the plug hole & a funnel on the other end.

    Good luck

Just done mine. Both the fill plug and the drain plug came out easily. Both 8mm hex sockets.
    I replaced the drain plug with a new one (P/N 11099271 - Torx 45).
I'd recommend taking the battery tray out as per the how 2, makes it much easier.
Put 2.2 litres back in and a tube of molyslip. Better already.
