    confused Is the cig lighter Switch Live or Perm Live

    Hi all. I am wanting to do a bit of wiring and going to take a live from the cig lighter. My question is, will the cig lighter still be live if my ignition isn't on?

    I just don't fancy a shock when i start snipping wires!!
