Do you know how hard they are to fit? My car just died the other day on way back from shops and RAC man is 90% sure its the fuel pump.

hi not to bad to fit you put 2 bolts through th pulley so no removing timing belt then 3 nuts bolt pump on have a look at the how to for inlet manifold as pump has to be taken of for that.

Would the car then work or does it need a computer plug in to get it to work. Ive got a halfords pro tool kit would that be all I need? I would be a newbie to be honest. Iam just hoping a swap would fix my car. Appreciate your help :-)

Think it should be jack up car, remove engine mount. remove timing cover, replace engine mount if you want. Put two bolts into the high pressure pump pulley/sprocket (as per how2). Then follow the bits on the how2 to remove the pump (think the vacuum box should be in the way though). Dont forget to catch the woodruff key....

Halfords pro kit is plenty sufficient to do it
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services

Do I need to jack up car or just engine and where do I get these bolts from? Is the vacuum box simple to remove. Without the bolts does the pulley fall off? I think I might be able to do this like :-D The car just dyed without warning while driving and the RAC man plugged a computer in and he said he 90% sure its the fuel pump. Is there any other possible things? Cheers for your help mate
