Exhaust gases warning light, Wont go out!

A couple of weeks ago this warning light came on, then went off and did so for a few days then came on flashing like crazy and car went into limp mode etc. Took it in the local garage put it on there fault reader and reset the faults and all was well again till a few days later when it did the same, took it back to the same garage and scanned it again more fault codes this time but only 1 the same.

Ended up having a new coil pack fitted (upon the garages recomendation) and yet again all was well for a week or so, now the light is on again so i took the throttle body off cleaned it along with the egr valve and the light is still on. Would i have to get this reset again or should it go out if all is well?

I noticed that the pipe from the air mass unit to the throttle body had oil inside it which had run down into the throttle etc guess thats from the breather pipe which connects from the top on the engine, Can i sort this/stop it in any way?
Is there anything else i can check/clean or what ever to get this B*****D light off?

My car is a 03 2.2 sri, Z22se engine.

was the code throttle position sensor?

Nnot sure what the code was as they didnt tell me at the garage!

What would it mean if it was the throttle position sensor?
