Thread: My first cdti question (remapping)

    Default My first cdti question (remapping)

    Seems strange for me to able talk about remaps after having a dti (which is rediculously hard to map)

    1.9 150

    What should I be looking to pay for a decent map? I'm not going down the route of hybrid turbo or decat exhausts so just a decent map that will give me good power.

    I need to be able to tow with my car so if the map can be based more towards torque then that would be better.

    Also what sort of power should I be able to attain, iirc the facelifts can get better figures than the preface.

    Any help appreciated and no arguing

    I hear people speaking of £300 ish and 190/200HP reliable from a CDTi John

    before you go down the remap route mate, make sure the dmf is good & the manifold is too...
    have the egr deleted as part of the map, i don't know any mappers in your area, yorks has a good few to choose from who are all very reputable.
    spend a bit of time shopping round & make sure you get an rr well before the remap & then again after preferably from someone totally independent to the mapping

    That sounds like a good idea mate, although maybe nearer the springtime. That way the roads will be a bit drier and we coud stick them on a r/r

    Sound advice there mate. The dmf was done 30k ago, egr 10k ago and i've not looked at the inlet although the car seems to have plenty of power

    Why not consider the dtuk crd-t, thats what i have, costs the same as a remap but more power.
