    Default Fitting a fire extinguisher

I just bought an extinguisher for my car after seeing the burned out horror on the news the other night, poor people. I'm slow getting out've the car too coz have to use a so am a bit paranoid.

Ok enough waffle heres the question where can I fit it? I want to bolt the extinguisher down either along the drivers left side where the transmission is, or either in front of or behind the drivers seat. But I don't want to drill or screw into something expensive/dangerous, does anyone have any advice please? Even where not to attach it? Thanks

The cars been great by the way, drove her down to Lago Maggiore and Orta in North Italy 2 weeks ago, she was perfect, the further you get from Blighty the fewer Veccies you see, its nice driving something different and I got the latest full european satnav disk set, so much better than my tomtom, though I use both one to tell me where the cameras are and speed limits but the built in stuff is more reliable for routes. I love my veccie, she's a dependable beastie taking me to Brussels this weekend hurrah.

I put mine under the drivers seat at the front.on the cross member that runs across.out the way and you just slide the seat back to get it.

Bear in mind it will need to be somewhere you can reach from the driver's seat and unless you have a Lifehammer/Belt Cutter, you'll have to assume the belt is locked tight.
I have a Lifehammer mounted on the front of the driver's seat - effectively behind my calves - better to get out of the car asap rather than worrying about trying to put out a fire.

Get out..... Stay out .... Let the pro's put it out !

Thanks, what I'm concerned about is drilling into something I shouldnt? If the worst happened I cetainly would get out as quick as I could, I'm not a hero. I'm not sure where wires, hydraulic pipes and stuff run around the floor area, maybe I better get my local dealers to do it they're always very helpful unless anyone can tell me for sure where is ok.
