Most of you will have seen the previous threads. I reported the one out back again the other day, for climbing on a 6ft fence, teasing the dogs - he dropped back down as soon as Wendy went out.
Had a PC and a Sergeant round tonight, local officers both, they say basically I've got to shut up and stop accusing him of things, he's a long term resident (not what we were told today) and a very peaceful man who wouldn't hurt a fly, yet alone threaten anyone.
We found out just before they came that Our Mr had a father who is/was a senior-ish officer in this area, still has a lot of contacts locally, and the PC telling us to lay off admitted he grew up with Mr Pearce and flatly refuses to believe him capable of any of the things we've reported, to the stage he won't even ask him. Surely it's wrong for an Officer to deal with a complaint involving a close personal friend? Explains why our dna and fingerprintable evidence was not acceptable, and where the information leak is.
He also told me I must NOT go round accusing the neighbour of killing my collie - even though I have done no such thing, ever.
He's also told us we are NOT to fit CCTV at the rear, or put the anti cat plastic spike strips on the fence - yet a previous police officer recommended them.....
We've also heard locally our "mr" works as a maintenance man on the council wagons, this "own company" he is "Managing Director" off consists of a big white van that he runs as a mobile mechanic. There have been numerous complaints about his work, the brakes have failed on 3 vehicles he worked on - and he got violent and aggressive when contacted about it. He also only deals in cash, and refuses to give anything in writing, not even a receipt. Apparently he is afraid of Trading Standards and CCTV
That rings true, as he offered to do the head gasket on a spare car I had when we moved here - for a price.
All very interesting, plenty to think about there.
