Anyone notice how their MPG goes down in this weather?

I fitted a Longlife SS back box around the same time as this cold snap we're having and thought it was the cause of the reduction in MPG but can't be can it?
My wife is having the same with her Astra convertible, surely not a coincidence, but then again she had a new SS Longlife as well!!

Any thoughts?

I'd a thought it's probably more to do with having all ya lights on, heaters blowing and so on. This drains the electrics more and requires the engine to work a little harder.

Can't say i have noticed a drop in MPG due to cold weather i normally find it goes up a little as the engine likes nice cold air and performs better are you sure your not driving it a little bit harder to make the most of the new exhausts ??

Mine hasn't changed.....but the ol' diesel does like cold weather!

Mines better, but it had a new swirl valve recently so that's probably why.

Mine is pretty much the same as usual. Circa 45 mpg in mostly town driving.
