Anybody used hi tec in b'ham they have an ebay advert for recon's at £85.
Just took my motor in and got charged £60 for a test (incl VAT), and was told all 4 injectors failed the threshold test. To remove and recondition all 4 injectors they want £95 per injector plus VAT, plus £100 labour - all in £574.80.
Bit more than I was hoping so currently looking for postal services so I can remove and fit myself.
Been looking around & it seems £84 ish is about the cheapest postal or drop off/pick up price i can find,

Not had any experience of these but only going on there feedback at the mo.
I take it you would be going for the refurbish of your current injectors option though to avoid having to get the reconditioned ones recoded?
Let me know if you proceed with these guys as the price is a bit easier to stomach! Even if you have to buy a reseating tool for £40 its nearly £200 cheaper than the price I currently have.
Just been looking into this some more and spoke with the ebay seller who confirmed that he could recon my existing injectors for £84 each - however I was only going down this route as I thought it would save me getting them re-coded, but he has said the injectors will still need to be recoded.
My local VX dealer will charge me £86.40 to do this, but I will then need to get the car to them (no real issue to tow). So the savings arent as good as I was hoping....£336 for all 4 injectors....£45 for a re-seating tool.....£86 to re-code Total price £467.00. Still just over a £100 cheaper than the diesel specialist I went to but wondering if it would be worth just getting them to do. Altho I now wonder if they realise they have to re-code them.....
the-wizard - have you sorted your injectors yet?
No not done yet i'm trying some BG244 from ebay first!, I did not realise that your own injectors would need recoding?, Surely if the same elec parts are reused & the internals are just cleaned that wouldn't be the case ?.
If the same injector goes back in the same place they shouldn't need recoding.
Also anyone with Tech2 or similar software will be able to recode them.
Thats what I thought as surely the electrical part of the injector is untouched? Perhaps I will push them to clarify further why they think they need re-coding. The only benefit if this was the case would be they could ship the recon injectors same day enabling the job to be done in a day and then I can send the old injectors back to them to avoid the surcharge.
lee-gsi: I know a friend of a friend with Tech 2 but they are not local to me so if they needed recoding I assume the car wouldnt drive (well) with uncoded injectors?
You will probably find they will swap your injectors with off the shelf cleaned injectors if they are going to need to be coded. Like you say just ask them why they would need to be recoded.
If you have uncoded injectors the ecu wont see them and not fire so no fuel will be injected (I think thats how the CDTi is immobilised)
