Signum fog surrounds and rear sun visor ( see drinkys ) , delivered to our oldham store and popped into the pentagon vxl dealer ( aja has a connection there i think ) they should be in next week to pick up !!!!

spoke to paul hallam ( parts supervisor ) v.v helpfull chap ... and even gave me trade !!
i said i was a member of this glorious site and would it be possible for folk to pop in and get trade on their purchases as well ...

Trade versus Retail Prices ...

What is the typical Trade discount at Vx Parts Counters?

How do you get a Trade Discount (not meant to be a silly question)?

Do you go into the parts ordering section in overalls, look the parts guy in the eyes and say "How much for Trade?" .. when questioned about VAT number ... ?

Would this apply to "Discount because member of Vectra-C.com"

Just curious, Vx probably wont give discount for regular retail customers, but a regular retail customer may deserve a discount.

I'm not in "the trade", but have and will give Vx quite a bit of trade, if you catch what I mean?

I bought a double glazed unit from a local glass merchant, he sold a unit to us for £29, we needed another identical unit a month later - I didn't hesitate to go back to the same guy (cash or cheque - no credit cards), he made the unit and when we collected it he asked for £35 ... I said that I bought the same unit from him last monthfor £29, he said - okay mate you can have it for £25 .

please help (if possible) understand Trade and Retail ... and Trade for the not officially Trade

just cuz its trade dont mean they dont charge VAT, u still pay that, only account holders dont usually pay vat ,

but as for the ' overalls and look em in the eye' thats exactly what u do, and then draw in a deep breath through ur teeth when they tell u the price and ask em if they can do any better, lol

i always find its better to use the part number first to, it looks like u know what u need , lol ( even if you got to phone up first and ask the same bloke , lol )

i think the secret is '' plain old fashioned luck '' only went in there looking to get a price on some stuff .... and went away thinking OMG i can get trade ....

it wasn't because he thought i was in the trade ( something to do with me blocking the street with me 60 ft bright yellow wagon ,

and he said to me '' is that your 60 ft bright yellow wagon blocking the street ''

so if he had said ''are you in the trade '' then i would'av said no

he said that the nova and corsa boys see him and they give part no's etc etc and they don't get the trade discount !! ''but its because they always ask for it'' !!( the discount )he said
