Default Help: Problem removing NCDC 2013

    Hi,

I have some problems removing my NCDC 2013 OEM unit from my Vectra C from 2004. I have the special keys in order to remove the unit but for some reason in my case it didn't work. I applied a lot of force and manage to break the front face of the unit.

So far this is how my NCDC 2013 unit looks like.

So can somebody highlight in the picture where are the lock pins located. Also if somebody can put pictures on how the unit looks from the left and right(to see the lock mechanism) and also for the metal plate that holds the unit.

I really need to remove the unit now and try to put back the front face of the unit. Any help and tips on how to get the unit out of the car are welcomed.

    Thanks,
    Cornel

I have used some keys that are too wide and the same happened.

Hold the front up and you will see where the keys need to go.

It will take some force to get them in but once in it will be fine and the stereo will come out.

I manage to insert them(now the stereo can move a little on the left and right side) but the stereo wont come out. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Is there a place in the back where I can push in order to remove the stereo. I am really desperate to find a way to remove it.

I'm going to try that right now.

In the mean time. This is where the keys go in my case. And also highlighted the place where I grab the unit to pull the unit out.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    So far I tried this:
-put the keys inside and pull from the place where I highlighted on the picture
-put the keys inside and pull from the keys outwards right hand side to the driver side left to the passengers
-put the keys inside and pull from the keys outwards right hand side to the driver side left to the passengers and also from the highlighted place on the picture

So far only manage to make the keys bend and also some metal from the stereo.

    Other ideas?

    Pull and wiggle it out.

You can also try levering it out with the keys inplace.

    Mine was really tight too.

Will try this first thing tomorrow morning. Now I'm to desperate to get it out and will definitely damage the unit in my attempts.
In the mean time if somebody can provide any pictures from the left and right side of the unit showing the lock mechanism will be perfect.

Also just in case I manage to broke the two highlighted pieces of metal how am I going to get the unit out?
