Ive been thinking about removing my backbox and just replacing it with a pipe, also changing the airbox for a cone K&N on my 2.0 dti..... will the exhause have a better tone? any sound? I believe backboxes dont make any noise on diesels. is this correct?

Yep correct i piped mine straight out with no boxes car or nothing mate also had a k&n panel filter aswell was alot better If u need any help let me no am only in morecambe

what sorta sound am i looking at? dont want a rasp, or chavy loud sound,, want somat deep and rumbly lol and why dont aftermarket backboxes make any sound?

No issuses with Mot at all and it's a rumble no rasp no Chav sound mate all u can here is a slight rumble and the turbo
