    Default Headlight levelling.

I know Ginge has already got a thread going about the auto headlight levelling not working but does anyone know if you can deactivate the system. Mine stopped working over a year ago but the headlights have been adjusted to the correct height. Just wanna get rid of the warning symbol because as from next year the car will fail the MOT due to a warning light being displayed on the dash. Cheers people.

That's a bit difficult when Vauxhall have told me there's nothing they can do.

There full of poop. When you lowered it did you remove the level sensors from the brackets?? If the answer is no then one of them has probably been damaged due to the amount of movement or force thats been placed on it.

Get it back on tech2 to see what the readings are, if one of them is way out then it needs replaced and then calibrate the sensors to where your car is sitting just now. Although they will need to follow instructions on the VX TIS system to do this may be to much for them lol.

As this threads been bought up again that's exactly what I didn't do only for the fact I didn't know about the sensors. Will be at some point in the near future booking it in to Vauxhall to fit a new sensor on the rear as when changing the springs we did give the lower arm a bit of a hammering.

Dave, sort out a meet at yours or something and we'll get to the bottom of it.. I'll bring mine off the show car so we can get yours working, and then you can just replace what we used.... come to think of it come down to paddys.. Oxford, on the 25th... Can make yours first job of the day until its resolved..

Hi guys, I have got that warning light for the levelling on my dash since doing some work on my front suspension.

I've checked the fuse and the sensors seem to be intact but I noticed I only seem to have the sensors on one side... is this normal or am I missing something.

Cant see why the light would have suddenly come on now when they have worked for the past 18months I've had the car but thought it a bit od the sensor was only on the nearside?

    Any ideas?

There are only two sensors, one up front and one to the rear. The fault light will give a fault code to find out where the problem lies.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
