    Default 2.8 V6T exhaust modification

    Hi folks;

    Has anyone removed their front box, replacing it with just a straight pipe and kept just the rear pair of boxes on their 2.8 V6 Turbo?

    I find the exhaust note rather quiet and whilst it is refined it would be nice to be able to hear that it has a V6 purring away under the bonnet. I'd like to inexpensively give it a bit more of a growl but nothing too outrageous.

    I did this when I put a stainless exhaust on my previous rather modified Audi TT Roadster and it sounded great.

    Just wondering whether the Vec will respond well to this same mod.

    when I had my flowtech exhaust fitted ,they asked if i wanted that box removing ..so I did ,but obviously I have the growl of the flowtech exhaust so cant tell you if by removing that box will sound good or not ....but I think it should help.

    This is mine with 3" exhaust downpipe and precat removed, plus main cat removed.

    Its a good way to get the pops and bangs.
