    The state of my boost sensor...




    It's still nasty, but I ran out of carb cleaner and time

    Wow, that was well gunged up. Should notice a difference when you've finished cleaning it. Did mine a couple of months back after learning about them on here and it definitely resulted in smoother power delivery. The sensor assembly is quite easy to get at and remove but I think care needs to be taken not to damage the actual sensor bit when you get through to it.

    Yeah I found to get to it I had to remove the EGR value, but once I did it was easy. When I've got more time, I'll give it another clear to remove the remaining crud...

    When I cleaned mine I filled a coke bottle cap with carb cleaner, placed the coke bottle cap on the kitchen work top, the sensor body on a chopping board and the cone in the coke bottle top, made myself a cup of coffee which was lovely...

    oh yeah and when i was finshed the coffee it was clean.
