Default Anyone got the vx bluetooth car kit?

Car broke down again today, Just as well it happened outside the dealers! Anyway, they gave me a 56 plate Astra estate cdti, not a very pleasant looking thing but the one thing I liked was the fitted bluetooth kit. Paired the phone with it and all my phone book appeared on the cars info/ display. A very neat bit of kit. I run a parrot kit in mine which has got more features on it but love the way you can scroll through the phone book with the steering wheel controls. This thing was running on a cd30, not the mp3 one just the standard one. Anyone got this kit fitted, or more importantly has anyone fitted it to the cdr 2005?

I have it on mine Rushy. Your welcome to nip round and have a play! Mines on the cd70 navi. If you play with the steering controls you will find it is voice activated also.

Voice activated! Now that takes it up to the Parrot standard. Do you think it can be fitted to the cdr 2005?

I doubt it pal. The older head units weren't to my knowledge available with bluetooth. From what i know the wiring is totally different between the 2005's and cd30's etc..

It will be a non starter for my money Rushy.

Is it an after market kit or VX kit with phone menu on screen not just "message received" when the phone rings?

It doesn't just work with Nokias. Mines a Motorola and it works fine with that. The charger and aerial cradle will be near the handbrake in place of the cupholder.
