    same as any other vec mate... open airbox, remove filter, remove the trumpet/air duct from lower part of box, replace filter & fasten box back together

    It does on the 2.0T.....more cool air into the turbo.

    Go for it, I did, and have added an additional hole with vent in the side of the box too after seeing the idea on here. Little bit more noise, little bit more poke about the promptness of power. I would do both again given the chance, even if just to get your hands dirty with your car and start getting a feel for what things will and won't improve your performance.

    i have just tryed it and the car idles funny so changed it back

    You have to give the ECU some time to settle down and relearn. Either that or disconnect the battery for ½ hour to reset it so it can then relearn due to the extra air flow.

    Best thing to do is do the mod then put a K&N panel filter in.
    Made mine growl and increased horse power abit.
    The DTUK chip did the rest

    Just did mine on my Gsi and once again broke it like I did on my 2.0t
    Not planning on putting it back so not tIat bothered.
