Vehicle : Vectra C Pre Face, Colour Coded, CR Tech Box, Pipercross Panel filte, Blanked EGR :-)

    Engine : 1.9cdti 16v

Default Finaly went for It (Tuning box)

Ive had my vec 2 years now & was getting bored so i took the plunge and ordered a tuning box - CR Tech made by Bluespark Automotive - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Diesel-tun...item2a1528990c
    & pipercross panel filer - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Vectr...item35b53a5b6e

& i must say im quite impressed. The car goes like a bat out of hell

has anyone else got this tuningbox?
If so i would be interested to see what settings you are using on it.
as im unsure whats the safest & best setting to have it at.
I switched onto the secondary map which increased the fuel but it stated not reccomened for older & high milage cars. being has mine has done 120,000 & having the crappy dual mass flywheel in mind.
    I switched it back.

it works a treat, easy to fit & is very well priced. defo alot quicker on the secondary map but it increases the fuel pressure and im not sure if thats a good thing.
still noticeably qucker on the default map though.
There is a screw which you can adjust but i havent played with that yet. was gunna have a bash later after work.
But i will say i bought the filter after the box was fitted & i cant really say the filter made any difference.

All any tuning box does it to "up the fuelling" on the common rail, some are very basic, some are a bit more sophisticated but the principle is exactly the same... my advise if you are running a box is to unplug the egr vlave & leave it unplugged... or you will kill the manifold a bit quicker

dont know tbh mate aint got a range computer thingy .
ive had it since last thursday i havent really noticed using any more or less fuel. appart from on the weekend when i used considerably more while testing out the new toy on the higher fuel map setting.
they claim its tuneable up to 186bhp.
dont know if the filter add's a couple more.
the only reason i said about the flywheel is because i think too much extra torque/power will shorten the life of the poorly designed circular peice of crap
its deffo worth the money though.

doesent a remap not up the fuel aswell?
if you unplug the egr you will get a very big annoying engine management light

Yes it does, but not in isolation. With a remap, the ECU is fully aware of the increase in fuelling, and other parameters are adjusted to reflect the increase in fuelling and the trip computer shows a more accurate fuel consumption figure than would be the case with a basic tuning box.

i just phone bluespark up & spoke to a very helpful chap.
I does pre warn on the instructions that if you run the secondary map (higher fueling) it will put increased load on the fuel system.
This only applies when thrashing the car so to speak. driving normaly/sensibly will not affect it.
I feel happy enough now to switch back to the other map
as it felt much more torquier & responsive.

By the way does anyone know if a 05 1.9cdti 150 has a DPF?
